As the core infrastructure of the DDE Big Science Program, the DDE Platform team showcased its advanced data-integration and intelligent analysis capabilities at the European Geosciences Union (EGU) General Assembly from April 27 to May 2. During the Assembly, the Platform secured data-sharing intentions from nearly 20 international research institutions, further reinforcing its ongoing efforts to create a “data–talent–technology” oriented global partnership network.

Learn about big data in geosciences and available resources such as the DDE Platform (including MyDDE, Earth Explorer, DataExpo, DeepShovel) and GeoGPT. This is an exciting opportunity to hear about the Deep-Time Digital Earth (DDE) initiative! This workshop is open to all interested audiences, including students, academic researchers and professionals. GeoGPT is an open-source, non-profit Large Language Model (LLM), developed for the geosciences. GeoGPT was globally released on 27th April 2025 to widespread acclaim, and already has more than 22,000 registered users.
