The "DDE Geologic Hydrogen Task Group" workshop, organized by the Deep-time Digital Earth (DDE) Grand Science Program of the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS), was successfully held in Beijing.

The 37th International Geological Congress, hosted by the Republic of Korea in Busan from 25 to 31 August 2024 was a landmark event for DDE. It was the first IGC, a quadrennial world gathering of geologists, where DDE had the opportunity to showcase its achievements, products and services since DDE began its implementation in 2019.

The Deep-Time Digital Earth (DDE) Paleogeography Workshop, a pivotal event organized by Professor Mingcai Hou and Dr. Haipeng Li, culminated in a special ceremony at the Zhejiang Lab. The ceremony, "Celebration of Generosity and Scholarship: Honoring Professor Christopher R. Scotese," recognized the professor's substantial academic contributions and his generous donation of scholarly materials to the IUGS Deep-time Digital Earth program.
